We need your support to protect Dorothy House Hospice Care's vital core services

Hospices are facing unprecedented financial challenges across the UK, closing beds and struggling to fund their core services. Despite their best efforts and the incredible support of their communities, Dorothy House is not immune to this. Rising costs, a national insurance hike and stagnant government funding which only covers 20% of their total costs, are having a major impact on their financial sustainability.

100% of our profits support the Hospice

They will campaign for change to ensure hospices are able to secure fair, long-term funding solutions. However, they have an immediate critical fundraising shortfall which the recent government announcement of a one-off cash injection will not completely address. We need your support now to help protect their vital core services.

100% of our profits support the Hospice, so by shopping with us today you can help protect Dorothy House's vital core services now and into the future. You can also donate via their website here.

Each product promotes wellbeing and mindfulness through calming and empowering formulations inspired by the wild woodlands and their energy – the antidote to busy, modern life.

Using the power of natural ingredients, Ubiety aims to soothe, relax and re-energise body and soul. Our signature use of woody fragrances - frankincense, spikenard and benzoin - strengthens and keeps you grounded in a moment of calm.  All products are sustainable and vegan-friendly – including our non-beeswax formulated candle and lip balm.

Dorothy House Hospice Care aims for Ubiety to generate a new source of income to help meet the increasing care needs of a growing number of patients with a life-limiting illness, their families and carers. The charitable Hospice provides free, palliative and end of life care services across a 700 square mile community in Bath and North East Somerset, and parts of Somerset and Wiltshire.

The Complementary Therapies Team at Dorothy House are experts in supporting patients, their families and carers to escape the stresses of life, to relax and live in the moment.  Dorothy House therapies include Aromatherapy, Reflexology and massage, often using essential oils and natural skincare products to promote a sense of relaxation and wellbeing- it's a perfect match!

Our Vision

Ubiety is founded on the collective passion for caring and giving inclusively, our profits supporting our charity Dorothy House Hospice Care, to provide more end of life care to everyone that needs it.

We looked for manufacturers who are alchemists in indulgent moments, lovers of people, nature and planet.

We looked for creatives who seek wonder from the everyday, making new moments of beauty and escape.

We looked for partners who share our ethics and values and who gave us more moments of generosity than we can count!

Individually we invested our passion into our mission, collectively we founded Ubiety.

Our story

The Ubiety brand has grown out of benefiting charity, Dorothy House Hospice Care’s passion for holistic wellbeing and the inspiring work of its Complementary Therapies Team.

What sets Ubiety apart from the crowd is that it truly ‘gives back’ in every way. From making people feel better about themselves and more grounded by using it and gifting it to friends and family, to every one of our founders giving their time and development for free.

Instrumental to the brand has been Arcania Apothecary Ltd, a cosmetic and perfume manufacturer based in Wells, Somerset. Arcania gifted their expertise and resources to developing this first range for Ubiety.  Limelight, a home fragrance manufacturer, from Bath, has produced Ubiety’s home fragrance candle, the scent of which is provided by Arcania and has similar therapeutic benefits to the skincare products.  Supple Studio, also Bath based, designed the beautiful look and feel of Ubiety and love working with brands who have a similarly ethical approach to them.
